Last year I had a sweet little newborn on my hands for the holidays. My sweet friend Katherine sent me an adorable santa hat, diaper cover and booties for Hannah…and I took photos of Hannah in the cute little ensemble…but I don’t think I ever shared those photos. for shame. So to make up for not sharing these photos for a year I’m going to share an obscene amount of photos of sweet little santa Hannah. Because it’s my website and I can if I want to. Because I couldn’t choose just a few. And because she’s just that cute.

hmmmm….

I had to share this because this is still the face she makes when she gets really upset. It’s funny how some things never change.

Who’s going to break it to Hannah that girls can’t win the Heisman? I guess you gotta have goals right?

I love to see a good photography “timeline” if you will. The same spot, the same outfit, different time. Pregnancy progression photos are awesome…although I don’t have any good ones of my own pregnancies. If I am blessed with another baby, I will make sure to take good pregnancy “timeline” photos. I am not exactly sure where the calendar baby idea came from but I did this with Micah…so I saw the idea sometime before April 2008 and back then I didn’t have a good way to catalog my ideas like I do now. Are you on Pinterest? If not you better start!! It’s totally addicting and totally helpful. I love being able to go back to the original source for something and give proper credit…before pinterst I had a hard time keeping track of ideas. So…head on over and check out pinterst and follow along with me if you’d like.

Back to the story at hand. I’m not sure where the idea came from but I’m so glad that I did it and have stuck with it each month. It’s so fun to see how my baby has grown and progressed and how I can easily spot the months she “bulked up” or started slimming down or got more hair or wouldn’t lay still… Some of these photos have been harder to capture than others but I always get at least one salvageable image! I also made a small 4×4 album using the same designs so Karla would be able to carry their wedding album in her purse! I wish I had a small copy of my wedding album!

I was contacted by a client to create a custom scripture painting for her mother-in-law. She gave me some idea of what she wanted but then she also gave me something that I love, a creative license. She told me to just go with what I thought would look best using the colors, size and Bible verse that she wanted. I had a great time working on this piece and am happy with how it turned out. I really hope that Susie loves it and that she is proud to give it to her mother-in-law. I love this verse and have a feeling that I will be using this in the future for more gifts. I am so glad that I was afforded the honor of photographing my friends before we moved.
They have five sweet little children! My kids are really going to miss spending time with their friends!
They are currently waiting on fully adopting the littlest one and hopefully before summer is over, their family will be complete!

My friend (and client) Lydia purchased a gift certificate for her friend Betsy.
Lydia wanted Betsy to be able to have some bridal portraits so she made sure it would happen.
I am thrilled to have my clients refer me to their friends and it means even more

Betsy and I met at the San Antonio Museum of Art and didn’t see one piece of art…
because we just stayed outside and walked around by the Museum Reach area of the Riverwalk.
It was beautiful…every part of it, the Riverwalk, the weather, the bride!
Lots of people were out taking their walks, exercizing, biking, and just strolling on the Riverwalk.
I think every person that walked by congratulated Betsy, asked when the big day was and told her how beautiful she was.
It was hard to not tell them all that she’s been married for two months!

After the wedding bridal sessions and/or bride and groom sessions are SO MUCH FUN!
The pressure is off, the dress has been worn, the shoes are broken in, and the excitement is still fresh.
This session with Betsy was a blast, we hit it off immediately and had fun finding new spots to capture her bridal beauty.

I had the great honor of meeting Daniel yesterday.
He’s a soft spoken, kind, young man!
I’m so excited to have him as one of my Class of 2011 Reps!!!

Before the session even started I realized that I locked my keys in my car,
(what a way to start a session)
but Daniel’s mom Karen called a mutual friend of ours and he came out to help.
