Do what makes you happy.
This phrase keeps running through my mind.
I know that my daughter does what makes her happy.
Most days that includes dressing up in a princess costume or in her “ballerina girl” outfit.
Taking photos of this sweet little lady makes me happy.

Blake and Lydia were married right before Thanksgiving.
I was so excited to be able to photograph them in a relaxed atmosphere a few weeks after their wedding.
I love working with brides and grooms after their wedding to capture special moments
(without all the stress of the big day), for them to treasure.
Lydia’s mom made her gorgeous wedding dress to look just like the one Grace Kelly wore on her wedding day.
There was one photo that Lydia had in mind that we HAD to get of her in the dress…
the photo that is widely used and recognized of Grace Kelly in her wedding dress is of her praying at the altar.
Lydia showed me the photo and I did my best to recreate the look.

And then here is my version.
We had such a beautiful and sunny day to work with.
I was afraid that since it was the last day of December we would be stuck inside…
but I think that I forgot that I live in south Texas. (it was 70 degrees outside).
I got TONS of great photos during our two hour photo shoot…
and have just begun to edit them.
So here are some of my favorites and I’m sure I’ll be sharing more as I edit them.
Lydia loves the look of photographs from the 20’s so that is why there is a vintage look to some of them.
Enjoy! And please don’t be afraid to comment and tell me what works and what doesn’t.
